We start with a generous Cafeteria Plan that allows employees to choose between cash and/or qualifying benefits such as medical, dental, vision and/or accident insurance. Additionally, employees may direct their contributions towards health savings and/or dependent care flexible spending reimbursement accounts.
Acumen wants to assist and encourage our employees to work toward their future. To that end we have a unique and extremely generous retirement benefit. Acumen sponsors both a Traditional 401k as well as a Roth 401K. In addition to the employee contribution (100% vested) we have a 5% (on the gross earnings) employer contribution. There is no matching requirement and the employer contribution is fully vested after four years of employment with the company.
Acumen provides short and long term disability and a company paid life insurance policy. Our employees can choose to purchase a supplemental life for themselves or their family members. In addition the Company provides an Employee Assistance Program enabling employees to receive expert support services to assist both them and their families with a variety of programs such as, counseling, parenting, college, care giving, relocation, legal and financials.
For those employees who commute, or use register parking with the city, the Commuter Check benefits can add up to some serious tax savings. This monthly benefit is available to all of our regular employees and it is a pre-tax benefit. However, it can cannot be funded by the cafeteria plan due to IRS regulations.
A Legal Service Provider coverage plan and Identity Theft plan are available to all regular Acumen employees. The plans include legal protection, consultation with layers, credit monitoring, and restoration services in the event of identity theft.
Work is important, but we understands that our employees have a life outside of work. Staff members accrue personal paid time off for vacation, personal business, and short-term illnesses. Accrual rates are based on years of employment, beginning with three weeks and two days per year and increasing to a maximum of five weeks and two days per year. In addition, Acumen offers eight annual holidays and other time off programs that give employees the time to enjoy life outside the workplace.
Acumen offers two different educational programs, the Professional Development Program and the Tuition Assistant Program. These provide employees with the opportunity to learn new skills for their career progression.
